Medical Exercise Training

The Center for Health & Fitness (CHF) is bridging healthcare and fitness by offering Medical Exercise Training (MET) classes for those with a chronic condition who seek guidance from a medical exercise specialist.

The MET program, created by Mike Jones, DPT is a six-week program focusing on a variety of topics such as diabetes/hypertension, arthritis/joint replacement, low back pain and women's fitness. Each session is two hours consisting of an educational lecture followed by a small group training class led by a medical exercise specialist. This program is designed to be delivered in small group settings and provides participants with the solutions needed to manage these conditions.

Trainers & Specialists

CHF is a medically based fitness center, and every trainer has a college degree in a health-related discipline, like exercise sciene and kinesiology with certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, National Academy of Sports Medicine and National Strength and Conditioning Association. CHF also offers Medical Exercise Specialists—the only fitness center in the beach cities to do so—who are trained and educated to work with member’s doctors or physical therapists to ensure the highest quality, effective exercise program.

For just $37/week you’ll receive*:

  • 6 one-hour educational lectures led by a medical exercise specialist.

  • Access to 90 + group exercise classes

  • Access to cardio and strength training machines​

*Capacity is 12 participants per session. Installment payments available. Participants must commit to attending all six-sessions.
